You’ll find information here about how we can help you during this crisis and how we’re adapting some of our services.

At your service

We're here to help whenever you need us

Coutts 24: 020 7957 2424 and Coutts Businessline: 020 7770 0070

  • Financial support for you

We're committed to working with each of our clients according to their own circumstances to mitigate any financial distress being caused by the virus.

    • If you have an existing payment deferral in place on any personal debt held with us, please be aware that:
    • in line with FCA guidelines, the application window for new payment deferrals is now closed. However, if you currently have an active, first, payment deferral you can apply for an extension for an additional three months, as long as this finishes by 31 July 2021, when the scheme will completely close.
    • if you’re in a position to do so, you can reduce future interest costs by making a lump sum payment to reduce your deferred payments, now or in the future, without incurring any penalties.
Please speak to your private banker to arrange this or for any further information.
    • we've passed on the interest rate reductions for any lending that's linked to base rate
    • we'll waive the early access penalty for any fixed and notice deposits that need to be broken due to coronavirus
    • we'll happily refund the 2% cash withdrawal fee (minimum £1.50) if you let us know you've used your Coutts Silk Card to withdraw emergency cash.

If you’re experiencing any financial difficulties - involving any existing borrowing or you need to set up a new borrowing arrangement - please do speak to your private banker as soon as possible

Eligibility criteria may apply. Credit is subject to status and approval.

  • Banking from home

To help protect both our clients and our staff, we’ve adapted some of our services.

    • You can use your Coutts credit and debit cards to make contactless payments up to £45 (provided the merchant is set up to accept this amount).
    • With the exception of our Strand cashier service, our offices are now closed to clients and as there are a limited number of staff working in our offices, please:
      • avoid sending us payment instructions via post. The quickest way to make a payment is via Coutts Online or Coutts Mobile. If you need help with this, please get in touch with Coutts 24. If you’re not registered for Coutts Online, please email your name and phone number to digitalhelpdesk@coutts.com and we'll arrange to set you up (please don’t include any sensitive information or payment instructions)
      •  arrange for any regular income that you receive via cheque - such as dividends or NS&I Premium Bonds – to be paid to you electronically.
    • Our Strand cashier service is available from 9.30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, and you can also continue to use the cashier service available at NatWest branches. Please check local branch availability online before visiting.
    • Our Strand safe custody service is available from 9.30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, by prior appointment. If you'd like to make an appointment to access anything you hold in our safe custody service, please speak to your banker or call the safe custody team direct on 020 7957 2442 or 020 7753 1909 between 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
