Virtual wine and food tasting masterclass
Following the success of last month’s wine and food tasting masterclass, Peter Fiori and Tom Gilbey are hosting a second virtual event on Friday 26 June from 7pm.
SAMPLE FOUR DELICIOUS WINES
Tom Gilbey, founder of family-run wine merchants The Vintner, who source wines from some of the best estates and supply the Coutts dining rooms, will be exploring four delicious wines:
- Domaine des Monticoles Rosé 2018, Coteaux Varois en Provence
- Vouvray Sec 2018, Domaine Boutet Saulnier, Loire
- James Bryant Hill Estate Pinot Noir 2017, Central Coast, California
- Figure Libre Cabernet Franc 2018, Domaine Gayda, IGP Pays d’Oc

enjoy the wine whilst cooking with peter
As well as being able to sample and learn about some delicious wines, our Executive Chef, Peter Fiori, will be demonstrating live how to cook these two tasty dishes, which you’ll be able to cook along to at home (although you can just sit back and enjoy the wine if you’d prefer!):
- the perfect risotto with summer garden vegetables
- pan-fried goat’s cheese with nuts, honey and thyme.
Last year, Peter created our ‘From harvest to plate’ Skyline Garden cookbook which features recipes using the fruit and vegetables harvested from our rooftop. As part of this, we partnered with food surplus charity The Felix Project, which provides fresh food to vulnerable people across London, and for every book we sell, we donate the entire £40 cost of the book to The Felix Project.

SOMETHING DIFFERENT FOR A FRIDAY EVENING
The evening promises to be both fun and informative and will run as follows:
7pm Masterclass starts
7.10pm Risotto live demonstration/cook along, with Rosé and Vouvray tasting
8pm Goat’s cheese dish live demonstration/cook along, with Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc tasting
8.30pm Ask the experts Q&A session with re-tasting of wines
A number of clients previously asked if they could ‘gift’ the masterclass to family and friends. If you’d like to do this then we’d be delighted for your guests to join us too.
SOURCING YOUR INGREDIENTS
If you’d like to cook along with Peter, then please source the ingredients from the recipes below. If you have a nut allergy, you can simply leave out the nuts from the goat’s cheese dish.
