Ensuring your cover is just right
Our comprehensive worldwide travel insurance has been rated 5 Star by Defaqto, and typically over 95% of our claims are paid out. But however good the policy is, you still need to ensure that our cover meets your exact needs.
We know being unwell abroad can be very stressful, and the last thing you want to worry about is further expense and red tape. That’s why it’s vital that you let us know if you have any pre-existing medical conditions, so we can ensure you’re fully covered and any claims can progress smoothly.
You can add extra cover to your policy should you need to via an additional premium – if, for example, if you’d like to cover any guests you’re travelling with or extend a trip.

Fees and how to apply
Coutts Travel Protection includes Travel and Loss Damage Waiver Insurance which is underwritten by AWP P&C SA (S.A.). It is available to our Private Current Account holders, age 18 and over, who are resident in the UK, Gibraltar, Isle of Man or Jersey.
If you have combined assets/liabilities of over £1 million with us, there is no fee. For combined assets/liabilities of less than £1 million, there is a fee of £400 per year.
If you’re registered for our digital services, you can apply via our online banking service. Alternatively, your Private Banker can email you a copy of the application form to complete electronically or you can download a physical application form.

Note: If after calling the insurer, cover for your pre-existing medical condition is declined or you're unhappy with the cost of the additional premium, you may wish to look at an alternative provider.
