the spirit of the season at coutts

The spirit of giving is more important this year than most and from giving back to spreading a little festive cheer, we hope you’ll join us in celebrating with family, friends and the Coutts community.

“Though we are not able to hold our usual Christmas market and other festive events in person, in the spirit of giving back, and to thank you in a small way for the trust you show in Coutts, I do hope you enjoy the festive masterclasses we’ve put together. On behalf of our directors and staff, may I wish you and your loved ones health, hope and happiness this festive season.”
Peter Flavel, CEO - Coutts

“This year has probably presented challenges none of us have experienced before, but one of the things which will stay with me has been the sense of coming together and community demonstrated by the spirit of clients and staff giving so graciously through this entire year. With fund matching during our silent auction, our staff fundraising, and more, we’ve now raised over £1.1million for charitable organisations including the National Emergencies Trust, The Connection at St. Martins, The Felix Project, MQ and Place2Be. This generosity fills me with pride and optimism about the commitment and concern we feel to those less fortunate than ourselves - and contributes to our aim to be more than a bank.”
Peter Flavel, CEO - Coutts

SUPPORTING OTHERS

The true spirit of the season is about giving to others. Inspired by Angela Burdett-Coutts, the most significant philanthropist in her time, we are committed to giving back to those less fortunate than ourselves. We’ve highlighted a couple of organisations particularly in need of our support this year with whom we’ve partnered for many years.

THE CONNECTION at st-martin's

The Connection is fundraising to support thousands of homeless people in Central London with emergency relief and long term support - leading to housing, work and independence.

THE ROYAL OPERA HOUSE

The performing arts have been particularly devastated by COVID-19, and The Royal Opera House is no exception. From 4 December, we will be the sponsor of their Friday Premier of Enigma Variations and tickets to join this performance online are only £3 per ticket – why not add this to your must-see viewing this festive season, and consider supporting their fundraising drive?
