The Business Exit Book – Coutts launches the guide to selling your company

When it comes to selling your business, our new Business Exit Book is there to help guide clients through the process.

Coutts has launched the Business Exit Book, a guide to help those considering or approaching a business exit. The book brings together 25 years’ of learnings, experience and client case studies to provide a guide to what can be a challenging but incredibly rewarding process for entrepreneurs and business founders. The book is available to anyone joining our in-person Business Exit Programme; talk to your Coutts contact to learn more.

“The book is the result of a long and considered process,” said Greg Kyle-Langley, Coutts Managing Director and Head of the Business Exit Programme. “For a generation we’ve helped clients when the time is right for them to exit their business.

“It really can be the culmination of so much, so there is a huge emphasis on getting it right. Over time we’ve seen the impact the right consultation can have. It’s never just ensuring a smooth exit but adding crucial value and making sure all your financial processes are robust. Understandably founders might not be thinking about any of that until they consider an exit – that is what this book is for.”

When it comes to a business exit, there are so many variables and key questions to consider for you, your family and the company that you’ve spent years building up. The book is designed to take business leaders through the exit process methodically. From asking ‘the why’, to defining ‘the how’ and using real life case studies to illustrate best practice, as well as talking honestly about what an exit – and the money it can bring – means for you and your family.

“As we say in the book, working with people who have been there and done it is the best advice we can give,” says Greg.

“The Business Exit Book encompasses our service to clients in guiding them and sharing the lessons of those who have gone before them, so they don’t have to learn it all from scratch.”

The challenges and opportunities our clients face continue to drive us as we share and support their journeys – get in touch to find out more about our private service for entrepreneurs and business leaders.
