How do I join Thank You From Coutts?

All Coutts Private Current Account holders aged 18 and over are automatically enrolled in our Thank You From Coutts reward programme. There are no forms to fill in.

What are the benefits of Thank You From Coutts?

You can instantly enjoy a number of exclusive member benefits, such as discounts, offers and access to special events. Plus, you can also earn Coutts Crowns to thank you for your loyalty which you can redeem for a range of rewards.

How can I earn Coutts Crowns?

Become a Coutts Silk cardholder and you’ll earn Coutts Crowns on all qualifying spend when buying goods and services on your Coutts Silk Card and on your Coutts Debit Card too. So, whether that’s a car, a coat or a coffee, it’ll all count.

You’ll also have opportunities to earn Crowns in other ways too.

What card spend doesn’t qualify for Coutts Crowns?

Certain financial transactions don’t earn Coutts Crowns, such as withdrawing cash, buying foreign currency or travellers’ cheques, investment deposits, tax payments or repayment of debt.

Is there a standard Crown earn rate?

We have three Crown earn rates, which are linked to the value of assets and liabilities you hold with us. The more business you do, the more Crowns you could earn for every £1 spent on your card:

Is there a maximum number of Coutts Crowns that I can earn each year?

There’s no limit to the number of Coutts Crowns that you can earn each year.

How many Crowns do I need to redeem a reward?

You need a minimum of 25,000 Coutts Crowns to redeem a reward. As soon as you have 25,000 Crowns you can redeem them for a reward of your choice. Alternatively, you can save them for something special.

You can also instantly enjoy a range of exclusive member benefits – such as discounts and offers – which are available for zero Crowns. These are known as Crown-free rewards.

How many rewards can I redeem each year?

You can redeem as many rewards as you’d like each year, whenever you’d like to make a redemption, subject to having enough Crowns.

How long do I have to redeem my Crowns?

You have five years to redeem the Coutts Crowns you earn. Crowns are accrued during the Crown year, a 12-month period which starts on 1 October. At the end of the Crown year, your Crown balance is carried over to the next year. You have five years to redeem any Crowns you’ve accrued in the previous Crown year.

Can I transfer my Crowns to another Thank You From Coutts member?

Yes, you can transfer your Crowns to another Thank You From Coutts member, as follows:

Log in to our digital services and go to Thank You From Coutts
Select 'Crowns Transfer'
Enter the recipient's Thank You From Coutts membership number* and the number of Crowns to be transferred
'Accept terms' and 'Proceed'.

The Crowns will transfer immediately.

I am a secondary Silk cardholder, can I earn Coutts Crowns on my own spend

Any qualifying spend on a Secondary Silk Card will earn Crowns for the Principal Silk cardholder. However, if a Secondary Silk cardholder holds a debit card in their own right then they as an individual will earn Crowns from the qualifying spend on their own debit card

If I close my Silk card, am I eligible to earn Crowns solely on a Debit Card?

No - to be able to earn Coutts Crowns on qualifying spend on a debit card the Member must have a Silk Card

I haven't received my gift, what do I do now?

What happens if I don't claim a gift before my Crowns expire?

Thank You From Coutts is a 12 month programme running from 1 October to 30 September each year. From 1 October 2022, Thank You From Coutts members will have five years to exchange the Coutts Crowns they earn on our reward programme before they expire. There is no ability to extend an expiry date.

What happens if I get a refund on my card, will I lose Coutts Crowns?

Yes - Qualifying Spend excludes any transactions which are subsequently returned, refunded or cancelled. Please see our full terms and conditions
