Coutts clients donate over £550,000 to Turkey, Syria, Pakistan and Ukraine appeals
Donations to the DEC by clients through THANK YOU FROM COUTTS and through our philanthropy services have exceeded £500,000 in just 12 months.
Coutts clients have been helping make a difference to the lives and livelihoods of those in need around the world. The Disaster Emergency Committee (DEC) has received a total of £558,668 (as of March 6) from our clients in donations over the last 12 months.
Since March 2022, that money has gone directly to aid three specific DEC appeals to provide humanitarian aid and assistance in Ukraine, Pakistan and, most recently, Turkey and Syria following the tragic earthquake which struck the region on 6 February.
Over £225,000 of the amount given to the DEC was from clients donating their Coutts Crowns earned via our THANK YOU FROM COUTTS reward programme.

The Disaster Emergency Committee
The DEC brings together 15 leading UK aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of crisis overseas. Over the last year their most notable operations have been in Ukraine and Pakistan, where flooding from June to October damaged or destroyed two million homes, affecting 33 million people with six million still in desperate need.
The generosity of Coutts clients has been echoed throughout Coutts and the NatWest Group. Customers, clients and the NatWest Bank have now collectively raised more than £2.1 million for the DEC Turkey & Syria Earthquake Appeal.
The total donated by clients and colleagues of the NatWest group to all three DEC appeals over the last 12 months is now over £12.9 million.
COUTTS CLIENTS CAN DONATE THEIR COUTTS CROWNS
Coutts clients can donate their Coutts Crowns to the DEC Syria-Turkey Appeal or the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal through THANK YOU FROM COUTTS, our client reward programme.
Donations start from as little as 25,000 Crowns. But if you don’t have enough, you could consider transferring your Crowns to another THANK YOU FROM COUTTS member to make up the difference.
