Can I cancel a payment after i?ve approved it?

You can cancel the payment up until the day before the payment is due to be sent (the credit date) but not if the payment status is Processing or Executed.

However, once the payment has debited your account, you can't recall it because the funds will be with the beneficiary. In this case, you should speak to your beneficiary directly about returning your funds. If you cannot contact the beneficiary, please contact you Banker for further advice.

  • Check the payment details and then select Confirm

The payment overview screen displays all payments that are pending, waiting for the due date or are in need of attention. Payments that are in need of attention may need authorising if the money is being sent to a new payee or they may need approving before they can be processed. You are only able to approve or review payments according to your user permissions and these payments will be highlighted with this icon

If you cannot approve or review a payment it will be because you do not hold the permissions that enable you to carry out this process and you should refer to your administrator.
