How do I add an account to my existing online service?

My existing online service is for:

  • Private accounts

    • Private

      Private accounts can be added to an existing company’s online service, enabling them to be operated by the company’s administrators or users that the administrators have created. This means that you will not have control over who accesses your personal accounts unless you are the company administrator.

       Please be aware of the following

      • The Faster Payment default date will be two days in the future for all accounts as this attracts the lowest charge for company accounts. As same day Faster Payments are free for private accounts, the date can be changed to the current day when debiting a personal account without incurring any additional charges. View details of online charges.
      • If the you already have Coutts Online, please could you ask your banker to close it if it is no longer required, once your personal accounts are added to the company’s online access.

      Please contact your administrator – they may need to give you access to the new account. If you are the administrator, contact your banker.

    • A company account belonging to the same legal entity as existing third party accounts

      Please provide a written request to your banker and ensure it is signed by all trustees.

    • Account belonging to a different Trust

      You can only add an account that belongs to a different Trust with read-only access. Please complete the application form below to do this:

      If you require access to make payments and transfers, please contact your banker to arrange to register the Trust for it's own online service.

    • A company account

      For legal reasons, you can only add a company account to a Trust's online service with read-only access. If you require the ability to make payments and transfers from the company, please register for a separate online service.
