Rod Schwartz

Rod Schwartz began his career with PaineWebber, Lehman Brothers and Paribas as a top-ranked financial services research analyst, corporate financier and senior manager. He co-founded Catalyst Fund Management & Research in 1997, a venture capital and research firm, which exists to help social businesses succeed.

Catalyst’s professionals also maintain the widely-read 'Social Business Blog'. Rod regularly lectures and participates in third-party produced reports on social business, enterprise, investment and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and co-teaches a social finance class at the Said Business School at Oxford University. He currently sits on the Board of AXA Investment Managers and the Ethical Property Company, is non-executive chairman of The Green Thing and is a former chairman of Justgiving.com and Shelter, the UK’s largest housing and homelessness charity.
