Your Organisation’s Needs

We understand that the requirements of charitable organisations go beyond pure banking. Coutts Not for Profit team works seamlessly with specialists within Coutts to provide exceptional and customised services for the wider requirements of charities. Coutts Trusts team registers and manages UK charitable trusts for clients where appropriate, focusing on easing the administrative burden so they are freed up to enjoy developing their giving.

Coutts Charities Investments Service is driven by a team highly experienced within investments and the dynamics of not-for-profit organisations. The team works with individuals, trustees and charities to devise a robust and bespoke investment strategy that will fulfil their investment objectives. Where appropriate, Coutts Charities Investments will tailor portfolios to reflect environmental, social, governance or ethical considerations.

Part of Coutts wealth management offering, the Coutts Institute works closely with families and individuals on their giving strategies, empowering them to make informed choices and thus to make a difference to the causes and communities they care about. The team undertakes on-going research into the health of the charitable sector, connects Coutts wider clients and raises awareness of the power of giving at an international level.

The value of investments and the income from them can fall as well as rise, and you may not recover the amount of your original investment.

Not for profit organisations are normally dependent on grant funding and/or philanthropic donations to fund their activities. Many of the team’s clients are companies that are limited by guarantee, or are a charitable trust, charitable incorporated organisation or unincorporated association, and regulated by the Charity Commission.

Working with a diversity of clients – from leading galleries to theatres and charities – we understand the responsibilities facing charity trustees and work to ensure the continual transparency of not-for-profit organisations to their multiple stakeholders.
