Critical illness insurance pays out a lump sum or regular income if you are diagnosed with a serious condition or have a heart attack or stroke. The money is tax free and can be used to meet a range of needs including:

  • paying off your mortgage
  • stopping work
  • paying for private medical treatment

Alternatively, income protection pays out a monthly benefit if you are unable to work through an illness or injury.
