Another favourite with both guests and day visitors is the Bath House Spa. Created from a converted coach house, the spa retains many of its original features with its stone clad pool and hot and cold plunge pools built out of old wooden caskets. The treatments are equally as unique with a secluded marble table ensuring that body scrubs are given in the easiest way – no hopping into and out of showers and making a mess – the luxurious scrub will simply be washed off as the treatment finishes.

The latest treatment to be launched by the spa for summer is the challenging lemon detox – an exclusive retreat. Entitled the Royal Detox, this intensive three day fasting programme nourishes and nurtures you through the initial detox period and prepares you in body and mind for a continued weight loss or cleansing programme. Bath is known as a wonderful place to visit year round, with its fantastic Christmas markets in the winter.
