London Fashion Week 2010 - Fashion Forward

  London Fashion Week

Coutts is delighted to be a sponsor of London Fashion Week in 2010, a celebration of emerging and established designers incorporating catwalk shows, exhibitions, presentations and much more. London Fashion Week is the most creative and vibrant event on the global fashion calendar where designers showcase their latest collections and industry buyers view the latest fashion trends.

Organised by the British Fashion Council (BFC) and based at Somerset House, London Fashion Week celebrated ‘25 Years of British Fashion’ in 2009 and saw attendance increase by 26%. Spring 2010 will see the BFC build upon this success; in February the week will run from 19th – 23rd followed by a Menswear day on 24th February.

As well as raising our profile and contributing to the communities in which our clients operate London Fashion Week illustrates our commitment to focus on excellence and supporting small businesses.

Coutts is also thrilled to be working closely with the BFC as a Fashion Forward sponsor. This scheme was established three years ago to provide funding for talented emerging British designers who are in the early stages of developing their business and have already established a profile at London Fashion Week.

Reinforcing Coutts commitment to support young businesses, BFC Fashion Forward’s primary aim is to enable designers to show their collections at London Fashion Week and develop their businesses through access to a range of advisors.

Christopher Kane, Erdem and Marios Schwab received BFC Fashion Forward sponsorship for the third consecutive season in 2009. Previous winners include Giles Deacon, Jens Laugesen, Jonathan Saunders, Richard Nicoll, Sinha-Stanic and Roksanda Illincic. 2010 recipients will be announced shortly.
