Coutts sponsorship of the Welsh National Opera

Coutts is one of the UK’s largest corporate sponsors of opera and is now in its seventh consecutive year of sponsoring WNO. Previous sponsored productions have included: Orpheus & Eurydice, Beatrice & Benedict, Madama Butterfly, Cavalleria rusticana & Pagliacci, Hansel & Gretel, and more recently in 2005, La traviata which opened in the new Wales Millennium Centre. Coutts looks forward to this year’s sponsored production of The Flying Dutchman with Bryn Terfel and from Tuesday 7 March, visitors to Coutts website will be able to download extracts from this WNO’s production. Coutts & Co and WNO have worked together to create a tailored sponsorship programme. Through our association with this world-class opera company and the largest supplier of opera to the regions of England and Wales, we can offer our guests throughout the UK and internationally an opportunity to experience unique and very special evenings at the opera. To date, the programme has included sponsorship of WNO mainscale productions and the associated UK tours, along with a series of exclusive recitals around the country and internationally. This allows WNO to perform in areas outside its usual touring pattern and reach new audiences, whilst providing Coutts with an excellent setting to entertain avid lovers of opera or even introduce some guests to the world of opera for the first time.
