Harriot Coutts, Thomas Coutts second wife and a lifetime member of the Royal Society of Musicians, was also a keen supporter of the arts.  Today, many fantastic arts organisations would not be able to survive without corporate support; even at full capacity, the Almeida’s box office earnings can cover only 45% of the company’s required income.
