Current wine offers
Coutts is delighted to announce the new spring fine wine selection, brought to you by our expert partner Lay & Wheeler.
This new range of wines, especially selected for Spring, has been chosen from some of the most sought-after and popular wine regions in the world. From velvety, smooth Claret to crisp, refreshing Chablis and from spicy Rioja to zesty New Zealand Sauvignon, these wines are perfect for the Spring season ahead.
Champagne is one of the best ways to add some sparkle to any celebration or dinner party and this Brut Blanc de Noirs from Michel Guilleminot is a Coutts’ client favourite. Elegant and refined, it is perfect as an apéritif or served with canapés and light starters.
2006 Château Beaumont is a classic Claret: rich and almost creamy, with notes of plum and cassis and fine, structural tannins. This will be absolutely delicious with roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, as well as flavoursome seasonal stews.
Smooth and mouth-filling, with fine red berry fruit characters, Domaine Giraud Châteauneuf du Pape is an excellent example of the great 2006 Rhône vintage, full-bodied and opulent, but with a fragrant herbaceous edge, this is the perfect wine to have with roasted lamb.
Good Rioja is always popular and we have chosen a great Reserva from legendary Rioja producers, La Rioja Alta. This 2003 vintage is rich and spicy, with appealing wild strawberry characters, as well as a touch of vanilla, this would be ideal with game dishes or mixed charcuterie.
Vibrant and zesty, with steely minerality, Sancerre makes a delicious apéritif; best enjoyed while young and fresh, it will also partner shellfish and goats cheese. We have selected a delicious 2008 Sancerre from Domaine Paul Cherrier, a family-run domaine known for making truly excellent Sancerre.
2008 Bourgogne Les Setilles, is made by Olivier Leflaive, one of Burgundy’s most respected names. Made with fruit from Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet, it also offers exceptional value for money. Attractive, with white fruit and a touch of vanilla spice, this is a beautiful White Burgundy that will be perfect with most seafood dishes.
Domaine Servin’s elegant Chablis is an essential for any wine enthusiast, classically styled with flinty minerality and refreshing acidity. With its lively citrus characters and elegant nature, this is a classic pairing with seafood and white meats.
From the New World, we are pleased to offer 2009 Sauvignon Blanc, Wairau River from Marlborough, the home of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Intensely aromatic with grapefruit flavours and vibrant acidity, this is ideal for enjoying this Spring, partnering well with seafood and salads.
Individual wines may be ordered in cases of six. A twelve bottle mixed case is also available.
