Philip Trousdell

Philip Trousdell spent his first career in the Army. He was commissioned in 1968 into the Royal Irish Rangers. His later appointments included command of 48 Gurkha Brigade in Hong Kong, commanding the operations of the multi-national NATO force in Bosnia, commandant of the Army’s officer leadership training academy at Sandhurst and command of the operation in Northern Ireland.

Since leaving the Army, he has taken his experience of leadership into the challenging environment of the commercial sector where he has been in demand as a speaker on many aspects of leadership at seminars as well as facilitating leadership education at board level. He is also chairman of a software development company. He manages to find time for fettling his classic car, studying military history, walking in the New Forest and trekking in Nepal.
