As well as making non-urgent sterling payments, you can make urgent sterling payments which are processed through the Clearing House Automated Payment Scheme (CHAPS).  Payments will be processed on the same day, provided they are input by the payment cut off time, which is currently 3.00pm.  If you have saved the beneficiary details, you will be able to select the beneficiary from the drop down list displayed on the non-urgent payment, urgent payment and the create a standing order screens.
