Coutts & Co Appoints regional Chairman for Yorkshire & Humber
Coutts & Co has announced the appointment of Linda Pollard OBE JP DL as regional chairman for Yorkshire and Humber replacing Robin Smith who retired at the end of 2006. In her role as regional chair, Linda will help Coutts locally to maintain strong relationships with clients, raise awareness of Coutts wealth management offerings within the business community and introduce individuals who want to learn more.
Linda, is a local businesswomen and successful entrepreneur having started her first business at age just 23 and selling the last of them in 1998. Since this time, Linda has played a significant role in strengthening links between education and health organisations in the region in a number of high profile roles. These include serving as Crown representative on Leeds University council, Deputy Chair of Yorkshire Forward and chairing West Yorkshire’s Strategic Health Authority and Regional and North Yorkshire Learning and Skills Council.
Linda is also a Deputy Lieutenant for Yorkshire, acting as Her Majesty’s personal representative within the region and who’s duties include upholding the crown. Linda’s outstanding contribution to the community over the years was recognised in 2004 when she was awarded an OBE in the Queen's birthday honours list.
