COUTTS & CO WINCHESTER EXPANSION SEES MOVE TO NEW HAMPSHIRE OFFICE
Coutts & Co, one of the UK’s leading private banks, has today announced its move to new premises in Chandler’s Ford, from Winchester, its home for over 25 years.
The move, which marks the success of Coutts in Hampshire, comes on the back of the continued expansion of the team in Winchester and has been designed to enable further future growth. Earlier this year Coutts appointed a new private banker and senior manager to the office.
Mike Archer, senior manager, Coutts Hampshire, commented: "We are sad to be moving out of such a wonderful city, however the continued success of the office and subsequent growth has lead to the need for larger premises.
"The new offices at Hampshire Corporate Park in Chandlers Ford are ideally located for clients wishing to visit the office as well as the team who regularly travel throughout Hampshire and Sussex to meet with clients. It also allows us room to expand the team further, which we hope to do over the course of the coming year."
Coutts, which celebrated its 25th anniversary in the city last summer at Winchester Cathedral, has been a long standing fixture in the city and was the second office of the bank to be opened outside of London in 1979. The original office on the High Street was destroyed by fire ten years later, causing the team to temporarily relocate to London. The move to the current office on Parchment Street was made in 1990.
