On Wednesday 19 May, Coutts in Surrey hosted an event for clients and prospective clients at the Lightbox, Chobham Road, Woking.
Guests were welcomed by Jonathan Bickerdike, Senior Private Banker for Coutts in Surrey, who talked about Coutts in the region, and then taken on a guided tour of the Walter Sickert exhibition.
A silent auction was also held, raising £5,000 for the Prince’s Trust.
Jonathan Bickerdike said: "We are continually working with new clients across Surrey and were delighted to hold this event in Woking. The Lightbox is a superb gallery and a credit to the town. It was also especially rewarding to raise such a substantial sum for such a worthy cause. Feedback from the evening has been very positive and we look forward to organising similar events as the year progresses."
Opened in September 2007, the Lightbox has some of the most exciting gallery spaces in the South East. Two spacious galleries host a range of exhibitions which change monthly. These include contemporary art from local and nationally famous artists, and loans from major museums and galleries in the UK and overseas.
The building is also home to Woking's Story, an interactive museum of the town's history from the 19th Century to the present day. Here you can listen to people’s memories of life in Woking and watch historic films.
