Gelupo, the much acclaimed gelateria from chef Jacob Kenedy of Bocca di Lupo, is offering a two-pronged attack to counter festive overindulgence and prepare for the year ahead with a detox and zen Green Tea with Buddha’s Hand Citrus gelato. Made with green tea, widely known for its detoxifying qualities, and Buddhas Hand Citrus, with its fragrant perfume and resemblance to hands closed in prayer it is given as a religious offering in Buddhist temples. Cassis Bistro in Knightsbridge has launched a delicious light menu, perfect for detoxing in January. Designed by leading personal trainer, Matt Roberts, and head chef of Cassis, David Escobar, the Matt Roberts menu is calorie controlled so that each main course is less than 400 calories and a two-course combination never exceeds 650 calories (excluding drinks). Each dish has been carefully devised to ensure bad fats have been kept to an absolute minimum whilst good fats are made available through the types of oils used and the fresh fish.
