Bright Young Gems at Coutts, June 2008
Sponsorship of Coutts London Jewellery Week reinforces our commitment to the world of the arts and contemporary creative industries - we enjoy successful relationships with various couture and main stream fashion designers, whilst supporting the performing arts throughout the UK.
Coutts has a long standing history with the jewellery industry, dating back to the company’s origins. Established in 1692 by goldsmith and banker John Campbell, Coutts was originally a supplier of plate and jewellery that also offered its clients a full banking service. Today, Coutts has a commitment to foster the emerging talent of London and the UK’s jewellery industry.
Bright Young Gems are some of the UK’s up and coming jewellery designers as nominated by an independent panel of discerning fashion and lifestyle editors for International Jewellery London (the UK’s premier jewellery trade fair). The brief for selection pinpoints innovative jewellery designers who ‘dare to be different’ and whose work has the potential to challenge current perceptions of the best in British design.
In our desire to support young talent, Coutts & Co is proud to exhibit the work of the following Bright Young Gems at 440 Strand.
- Emma Chapman
- Karola Torkos
- Ruth Tomlinson
- Ana De Costa
- Luis-Miguel Howard
