Two brothers, Haroon and Farouq Sheikh founded CareTech Holdings Plc in 1993. In October 2005, the business was listed on the London Stock Exchange and became the only specialist learning disability provider to do so. The company has experienced strong turnover growth in successive years, particularly in 2006 when there was a 75% increase in client capacity. CareTech currently has 159 residential care homes and 4 day care centres located predominantly in the South of England and the West Midlands and continues to grow through a combination of organic and acquisition initiatives
