Michael joins Coutts with over 29 years experience in financial services, more recently at Singer and Friedlander where he was Head of Wealth Management. Prior to this, Michael was Head of International Private Banking at Barclays Wealth and CEO of Barclays Switzerland. Michael also spent eight years with Merrill Lynch, becoming Managing Director and later moving on to become Director of Private Wealth Services for Europe and the Middle East in 1999.

Michael is married, has two sons and studied Modern and Medieval languages at Cambridge. He is very passionate about the community and set up the Global Investment Challenge for many school children across the UK, and has organised and promoted ‘Making a Difference’ days for less privileged children in London and Geneva.
