Coutts Bankline is compatible with Windows® PCs and Apple Mac® computers (either desktop or laptop) with a supported web browser and operating system. You should be able to access the service through your existing computer.

- Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.1.7 on Mac OS® 8 and 9
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.2.3 on Mac OS X
- Netscape 6 and above (on Mac OS 8.1 and above).

Support for 128 bit SSL is required.
These browsers permit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption in order to protect information during transmission.
All users - Windows and Apple Mac
- Adobe Acrobat Reader® 5.0 or above. This free software is needed to view some of the forms relating to the Bankline service. If you do not have the Reader tool installed already, it is available as a download from Adobe's web site.
Internet connection and email
As it is a web-based service, you will need an Internet connection available whenever you wish to access Bankline. You can use a dial-up, broadband or corporate network connection to the Internet. You will also need an email account to receive messages from the Bankline system.
Hardware
Bankline has been designed for a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. To get the best from the service, we would recommend that you set your display preferences accordingly. Other than this, there is no minimum specification for your PC or Apple Mac hardware.
