Coutts Forum for Entrepreneurs - Guest speaker Judy Piatkus

On Wednesday 25 June, Coutts & Co hosted a private dinner for entrepreneurs at 440 Strand with Judy Piatkus, the entrepreneur, author, counsellor and publisher, as guest speaker.

She is the founder of Piatkus Books, one of the pioneers of mind, body and spirit publishing in the UK, which she sold last year, after almost 30 years.

As well as talking about her career to date and the challenges she faced as a woman in business, she also spoke on the subject of ‘what your accountants won't tell you when selling your business'.

She gave a personal account of the trials and tribulations experienced during the sale of her own company and the feelings of either loss or relief which many entrepreneurs feel after the sale of their business. This stimulated some lively debate and there were many questions from the invited guests.

The event forms part of Coutts' ongoing commitment to provide platforms for entrepreneurs to network with like-minded individuals and discuss their own business ventures and the challenges and achievements associated with them.
