The Coutts Forum for Entrepreneurs event on 20th November was held at Lainston House Hotel in Winchester, a stunning 17th century building located in beautiful Hampshire parkland.
The evening's seminar was co-hosted by Coutts & Co and Envestors Private Investors Club. It aimed to provide Coutts' entrepreneur clients on how to become Business Angels.
Bob Taylor, partner at Envestors, gave a presentation on investing as a Business Angel, discussing the motivating factors of investors, including the personal challenges and the value of the experience on offer.
Michael Anderson, an experienced angel investor, gave a personal insight into his own investment history, including the 'ones that got away'.
Irene Wolstenholme, a Coutts senior tax specialist, provided an overview of the tax benefits available from investing and guests were also presented to by two established entrepreneurs.
The event forms part of Coutts' ongoing commitment to provide platforms for entrepreneurs around the UK to network with like-minded individuals and discuss their own business ventures and the challenges and achievements associated with them.
