COUTTS MAKES NEW APPOINTMENT FOR GUILDFORD

Coutts, the UK's leading private bank, has announced the appointment of Jonathan Bickerdike as private banker in its Guildford regional office.
Jonathan, 41, will be responsible for managing the wealth of clients who are retired or are nearing retirement. His appointment reflects Coutts strategy to organise its private bankers around specific groups with the aim of providing individual financial solutions to protect and grow their wealth.
With 24 years' experience within financial services, Jonathan joins Coutts from NatWest where he held a variety of roles including senior financial planning manager and area sales manager with responsibility for Surrey and West London.
Commenting on his appointment, Jonathan said: "There are over 10.5 million retired people in the UK representing 18% of the total population. With the baby boom coming through, this is expected to increase to 11.8 million by 2010. The average personal wealth of retired people in the last few years has increased, and it has become even more important for those nearing retirement to seek professional advice."
Coutts Guildford office looks after clients based in the Surrey area, including Dorking and Leatherhead. It offers a personalised approach to managing the wealth of clients, focusing on preserving and growing their wealth.
