LOCAL PRIVATE BANKER CLINCHES AWARD

William Quantrill, senior private banker with Coutts in Cambridge, has clinched an award for best performing private banker in Coutts, the UK's leading private bank.
William, who was presented with the award on Saturday by Coutts chairman, Lord Home, beat 200 private bankers from Coutts 23 offices in the UK, even though the Cambridge office was only opened in April last year. William received the award for the strongest performance in terms of the business he has gained and the high quality of client service he provides.
Robert Taylor, who heads up Coutts specialist entrepreneur client group, said: "William has specialised in providing wealth management services for entrepreneurs who are managing or have sold their businesses and his success proves that business is booming among entrepreneurs in the East Anglia region. We are delighted with William's performance this year, he is a wonderful ambassador for Coutts."
William joined Coutts in September 2000. He has 12 years' experience in the private banking industry having previously worked with Lloyds Private Banking and Merrill Lynch as the company's asset allocation specialist for Europe and the Middle East.
He said: "I am delighted to have won this award which reflects that Cambridge and East Anglia have a high proportion of high net worth residents, particularly entrerpreneurs, who benefit from our services. In terms of its services and investments, Coutts is second to none and stands out in the local marketplace."
Coutts Cambridge office, which is approaching its first anniversary, provides a convenient base for the large number of existing clients in the area, as well as offering Coutts' services to new clients. The office looks after the wealth management requirements of high net worth clients based in Cambridge and East Anglia.
