13 June 2002

Coutts & Co, the UK's leading private bank, is celebrating its fifth year in Bournemouth with a reception tonight at Somerley, the Hampshire home of the Earl of Normanton.

Over 150 guests of Coutts & Co will make their way to Somerley to join the team of local private bankers celebrating Coutts' five years in Bournemouth. The reception marks the continued success of the office, which provides a convenient base for the large numbers of existing and potential clients in the area. Clients include people who are business owners, semi-retired business men and women, people in retirement, and those who have come into money through inheritance, or a divorce settlement.

Richard Whitehead, senior private banker who leads the team in Bournemouth, commented: "Bournemouth office continues to be a real success story for Coutts and we are delighted that the number of clients we look after throughout Dorset continues to grow. We've built the business on a reputation for providing innovative and flexible wealth management solutions for our clients".
