Coutts Forum For Entrepreneurs - guest speaker Andrew Neil

On Wednesday 3rd October Coutts & Co hosted a private dinner for entrepreneurs. Andrew Neil, the renowned journalist, entrepreneur and political commentator was guest speaker.

The dinner brought together a number of Coutts’ entrepreneur clients, as well as those invited by private equity firm, Pi Capital, which provided a dynamic exchange of views, opinions and experiences from entrepreneurs at varying stages of the ‘Cycle of Business’ - from fashion and fitness to international property developers and investors.

Andrew Neil, former editor of The Sunday Times, Chief Executive of Press Holdings Media (Spectator and The Business) and presenter of three BBC flagship current affairs programmes gave an insightful and engaging account of his political and business encounters.

This included a look at the current political landscape and the challenges facing government, during what he views as “one of the most interesting times to be covering British politics.”

Andrew also focused on the political and economic issues specifically facing entrepreneurs in today’s business environment. As a successful entrepreneur himself he was able to illustrate the discussion with his individual knowledge and experience.

The session stimulated lively debate with questions from the audience ranging from policy issues, the future prosperity of British business and its place in the global market as well as insider predictions for a likely upcoming election.

The event forms part of Coutts’ ongoing commitment to provide platforms for entrepreneurs to network with like-minded individuals and discuss their own business ventures and the challenges and achievements associated with them.

At Coutts we understand that owning your own business presents a unique set of personal financial challenges. Our specialist team of private bankers has a wealth of expertise and understanding in managing the finances of entrepreneurs and business owners in effective and efficient ways.
