Propeller is one of the most celebrated and innovative Shakespeare theatre companies, formed in the mid 1990’s after a successful run of Othello at The Watermill Theatre, Newbury. The creation of the ensemble was driven by Edward Hall, whose passion for Shakespeare was simple, to direct plays with great clarity, speed and full of as much imagination in the staging as possible.
We have been Propeller’s UK tour sponsor since 2007 for four consecutive tours and we are delighted that Richard III and Comedy of Errors won Best Touring Production in the 2011 Theatre Awards UK.
It is a pleasure to continue our relationship into 2012, supporting their brand new production of Henry V and a re-visiting of their acclaimed 2005 production of The Winter's Tale. From November 2011 through to July 2012 Propeller will visit fourteen UK venues where we have the opportunity to entertain guests with an evening of rediscovered Shakespeare.
