The National Theatre is one of the UK’s leading arts organisations. It stages over twenty contemporary and classic theatre productions a year with around seven in repertory at any one time.
We first sponsored the theatre in 2009 and following the success of Phèdre we continued to support a production of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein in February 2011 which saw Danny Boyle, the Oscar-winning director of Slumdog Millionaire, make his directing debut at the National Theatre.
Our sponsorship helped the theatre concentrate on producing high calibre performances as well as nationwide educational projects and international touring productions.
